Born in London, Rupert Pope is a composer, songwriter and producer. His music has been placed in numerous film and TV productions including Flight Plan, CSI, Coast, Top Gear, American Idol, Ugly Betty, The Big C, Strike Back, The Crazy Ones and Helix. He has also written music for many advertisements for brands like Chrysler, Carlsberg, Nokia, Virgin Atlantic, Flybe, Vodafone and Estee Lauder and placed in movie trailers including I Give it A Year and The Rules of Attraction and Fifty Shades of Grey.
Classically trained from an early age, Rupert is a multi-instrumentalist who draws his inspiration from a diverse musical background. He cut his teeth working for Zero-G where he composed content for the ground-breaking DJ game "Mixman" using the sounds of Heaven 17 and KKlass to create interactive tracks.
Rupert then joined Extreme Music, initially as producer for Thomas Dolby's Beatnik platform and then as mastering engineer for Extreme's growing catalogue. He worked on music ranging from Quincy Jones through to numerous classical recordings from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, while also finding time to work on his own compositions, leading to many TV, film and advertising placements.
Most recently Rupert has been composing for various TV shows for Sony / Hans Zimmer's Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop. He has also composed on advertising campaigns for VW, Saga, Booking.com, Argos and EE and trailers for The Clouds of Sils Maria, Keep on Keepin' On, Downton Abbey and The Vampire Diaries.
